Miami hasn’t been a great place for members of the 2018-19 Phoenix Suns to spend their offseason.
Center Richaun Holmes, who is slated to become a free agent June 30, was booked in South Florida on a marijuana possession charge.
SLATER SCOOP: Phoenix Suns forward Richaun Holmes was arrested in S. Florida on Wednesday for marijuana possession.
Holmes is accused of having a joint that was “hot and smoldering in a cupholder” next to him.

According to the Miami Herald, Holmes was arrested on a misdemeanor charge along with James Webb, who spent some time with the Brooklyn Nets last season. Both men posted bond after a short stay in jail Wednesday.
Holmes is the second member of last season’s Suns team to get arrested in Miami. Forward Josh Jackson was arrested May 13 on charges of escape and resisting arrest after running away from police in handcuffs when he was detained at the Rolling Loud festival.
Holmes averaged 8.2 points and 4.7 rebounds per game in 70 contests for the Suns last year. He was acquired in a trade from the Philadelphia 76ers last July.
