When the Daily Express reported that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry would name their son something that “unifies” the United States and United Kingdom, little did we know it would hit so close to home.
Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Archie Bradley certainly feels closer to the royal family now that the name has been announced.
The new royal baby is named Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.
Bradley welcomed him to the world with a Tweet expressing high expectations for the baby’s beard game.
LET’S GO! Young Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor!!! Young man with a strong name and by looks of of the price, will have strong beard game!! Congrats @RoyalFamily on the blessing! I’ll be looking out for invite to the 1st Bday Party! #LetsGo https://t.co/IesUJiqKo1

Bradley didn’t stop as he continued to garner attention (sort of) (not really) from celebrities.
Singer Katy Perry and model Chrissy Teigen were either thrilled about Bradley’s three-inning outing in extra innings against the Tampa Bay Rays, or gleeful about the new baby.
Either way, Archie unified nations.

All that’s left is for Bradley to receive that invitation to the royal birthday that he referenced in his tweet… and maybe a response from Katy Perry (does he need a plus-one?).
